Rebinding

The command palette, copy, paste, find, the find bar keys, link clicks, the Files editor's keys and the dialog keys are fixed. Everything else above can be changed in Settings > Keyboard, or under keybindings in settings.json. Settings > Keyboard will not bind a chord that a fixed shortcut or another action already has, and apart from F1 to F12 a shortcut needs at least one modifier.

In settings.json a chord is written with key codes, modifiers first in the order Ctrl, Alt, Shift, Meta: Ctrl+Shift+KeyW, Alt+Shift+Equal, Alt+Digit1.

Two defaults moved when the tab shortcuts came: Close pane is now Alt+Shift+W, and New terminal has a chord of its own (see App above), because Ctrl+Shift+W and Ctrl+Shift+T now close and reopen tabs. A binding still at its old default moves with them; one you chose stays.
